Today, we are on the stage at the Africa Carbon Removal Summit (ACRS) in Nairobi, Kenya announcing the teams who made it into the second cohort of the ACRA program!
We've been thrilled by the exceptional number of applications submitted by Sub-Saharan Africa-based CDR startups. This reflects the surge in carbon removal innovation in Africa, and we're proud to champion these groundbreaking teams as they develop CDR approaches tailored to the continent's distinct circumstances and requirements.
After a competitive jury process process, weโve selected 12 teams to join us on this journey. Congratulations to AirSmat, Green Voyage, ID Water, Iroko Analytics (Techstars '22), NanoPula, NARA Climate, Real Naturation Ltd., Sinc.Earth, Substrate Biochar, Truecoco Ghana Ltd, Zen Carbon and Zowasel on their selection!
We canโt wait to start working with these teams, supporting them with 1-on-1 coaching, connections to experts, buyers, investors and other CDR ecosystem stakeholders.
